About Scilit

Scilit is a comprehensive content aggregator platform for scholarly publications. It is developed and maintained by the open access publisher MDPI AG. It is offered for free to scientists and scholars. Using widely automated approaches to sourcing and curating data, we cover newly published content from a variety of sources within hours or days. Advisory Board

For Publishers

Publishers have the possibility to register a publisher account with Scilit and upload their publication meta data directly to Scilit in order to improve the timeliness and accuracy of their content covered in Scilit. Please refer to the information for publishers for more.

Additional Services

Several public services have been developed based on Scilit data:

  • Scilit Rankings: ranking of top publishers, journals and countries by number of journal aricles published.
  • Related articles widget: engine to recommend papers from Scilit based on keywords.
  • Scitations alert service: notifies authors whenever their papers are cited by newly published articles.
  • Scifeed alert service: subscribe to alerts by keywords and receive matching, newly published articles.

Licensing Information

PDF files that are frelly available have been marked as Open Access in Scilit. We also extract licensing information where available. However it is the responsibility of Scilit users to verify the licensing conditions for further use and distribution.

Links to free PDF versions of the indexed articles are also provided to the users. They have been included from external sources, such as PubMed Central, CORE, Unpaywall or other repositories.
